I personally enjoy being able to share in the inspiration journey with Tim Holtz each month in the creation of his monthly tags. It is amazing how he can get people to connect in ways to the products that drives the creative process into new areas. I don't know about you but many months I am just sitting and waiting to figure out what Tim will come up with next.
As an artist it challenges my creativity and drive with each tag he shares. The May tag for 2014 I just loved the ability to create this tag and the end product it yielded.
Here is some pictures of my tag and background I created in the May 2014 tag.
If you haven't had a chance to explore your talent, share in Tim's creative challenge and exploration - YOU NEED TOO.

I have a deep passion and drive to create art that will make someone smile, and my studio allows me to do this. Having a dedicated studio space allows me to tap into my artistic side and provides a refuge from the world. My area of expertise is making unique cards and tags with a distressed vintage feel by intentionally fading and marring my work. My proudest moments as an artist are when I hear and see how my creations have lifted other peoples spirits.

Brother's birthday card
I wanted to share a birthday card project I made in May. My brother Tom lives in Miami and I wanted to make him an authentic card.
When making this project I wanted to incorporate the use of several elements.
I wanted to have this project have a telegram feel with a vintage flare that incorporated the use of my sewing machine.

I hope you like my project and my use of Tim Holtz products.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great creative day!!

April 12 tags of 2014- Tim Holtz
I so love the tag Tim Holtz has done for April 12 Tags of 2014. This has to be my favorite so far this year. This tag taught me a new technique, how to use the framework die and create flowers.
It is amazing how I think I am not going to buy a die as I don't think I would use it. The. Tim comes out and uses it and I have to get it.
Here is the tag I made for the 12 tags of 2014 for April.

Hope you like and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Momma B birthday card
My second mom had a birthday on April 24th. I wanted to make her a card that incorporated the new technique I learned from Tim Holtz 12 tags of 2014 April tag.
I love how this card turned out and am really becoming addicted to the frameworks dies Tim Holyz launched this year.

I can see that these were a great purchase and live how it looks in this tag.
Thanks

Nephew Dale birthday card
I am fortunate to share my birthday with my nephew Dale. I wanted to make him a cool card that had defined meaning.
He turned 22 this year and I know that at that age you are still searching to find your place. He has recently got a new job and proud of his accomplishments.

I hope you like the card and thank you for stopping by my blog.

April tag swap
I wanted to share pictures of tags I made for an April tag swap I was in.
The theme was Easter, flowers and/or butterflies. Here is what I created for the two partners I was paired with - Angel Chambers and Kelly Amadeo Cordray.
So glad how they came out and that the ladies loved them.
Let me know if you have questions.

Michaels bday card
My crafting buddy Michael Farrell started me out into this creative hobby. I am so glad that he showed me how to tap into my creative side that I didn't know existed.
So I always want to make a very special card for him. I wanted to bridge my style that utilized the framelite on the edge dies.

Here is the tag I completed.
Thanks,

Sew birthday card
I started going to church again back in Nov13 and have enjoyed the people I have met in the congregation.
There is this sweet woman named Lois that is a quilter and crafter. I decided I wanted to make her a birthday card.
I decided to make the card by using the sewing machine and to have it resemble the look of a quilt (or try).
I also wanted it to have a vintage and sewing theme. Here is the card I created. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Gram Burkett 84th birthday canvas
I made the following canvas for Gram Burkett. I wanted to make her a canvas that should could enjoy and love.
In this canvas I use a new technique is learned using tissue tape, distress paint, distress pads and water.
I used this in the background of the canvas and details on the technique came from Tim Holtz blog.

I really like the background, effect and overall layout I did. Sometimes I never know what I am going for till it is done.

March Dad's b-day canvas and card
This year my Dad's birthday I wanted to make him his own canvas and a card that he would love.
My father as a kid loved old cars and I remember him speaking of Route 66.
So the card I made I took the theme of vintage with a mixed media flare. Here is a picture below:
His canvas I made I tried to achieve a masculine distress vintage style. When making the canvas I uses tim holtz distress paints and stains to develop the background. I wanted to archive a shuttle pop of color that would show through in the canvas and remain masculine.
Here is the canvas and I love how it turned out.
Thanks,
